Star Wars: Galactic Racer features four different classes of vehicles that have their own specific pros and cons and may perform differently in terms of strengths, weaknesses and other aspects in the game. You can also change the performance of the cars through upgrading, so knowing how each car operates can help you get the right vehicle for your race.
All Vehicles Classes

Here’s a simple breakdown of all the vehicles classes in the game:
Landspeeder
The Landspeeder is the safest and most reliable choice available. Its heavier construction makes it able to recover from crashes against walls, rough terrain, and other users, making it great for courses where collisions are frequent.
It is suitable for novice racers and people who like to drive aggressively. The Drift score affects the sharpness of the turn as well as the amount of speed maintained throughout drifting.
Best for: Beginners and players who value stability, durability, and drifting.
Speeder Bike
Speed, acceleration, and agility are the main defining characteristics of the Speeder Bike, instead of durability. The Speeder Bike performs remarkably well at high speeds but can be crashed easily if its operator makes mistakes while riding at such a velocity.
Its Kinetic Burst can be used to give a short boost to the rider and help with overtaking others. It is best suited to players who are comfortable with its lighter and more fragile build.
Best for: Fast, aggressive players who prioritize acceleration and agility.
Skim Speeder
Built for accurate movement and advanced cornering techniques, the Skim Speeder has a unique design that makes it distinct from the other classes of vehicles.
Thanks to its Knife Edge ability, Skim Speeder can take non-standard racing ways while benefiting from its high maneuverability during sharp turns. Remember though, its more demanding handling makes it better suited for experienced players.
Best for: Skilled players who enjoy technical tracks and precise cornering.
Podracer
When it comes to Podracers, speed is prioritized over stability. Although they can reach high speeds, controlling them is quite challenging and they can easily be damaged.
The class uses a podracing approach to The Phantom Menace, bringing in characters like Sebulba to the game’s races. Depending on the Racer Style, the podracers might be very powerful in their offensive potential.
Best for: Players who want maximum speed and are comfortable with high-risk racing.
Vehicle Stats and Upgrades

Vehicle performance can change during a run because parts and upgrades can improve individual stats. Here are the seven stats:
- Drift: Affects turning sharpness and speed retention during the vehicle’s sharp-turning maneuver.
- Ramjet: Determines the amount of Ramjet boost.
- Speed: Determines unboosted top speed.
- Afterburner: Affects acceleration, deceleration, and Afterburner boost.
- Cornering: Affects how quickly and tightly the vehicle takes corners.
- Battery: Determines the maximum Energy available for Abilities.
- Resilience: Helps the vehicle withstand damage, avoid malfunctions, and resist negative status effects.
Upgrades can be acquired by winning competitions, but also by getting upgrade packs that can be bought at Hibi’s shop. A single pack costs 1,500 credits, contains one of the three possible upgrades with a higher value of statistics.
Credits may also be required to repair faults and damage, as well as to obtain various components.
Which Vehicle Should You Choose?
The Landspeeder is the easiest vehicle to use and is ideal for those preferring durability. The Speeder Bike is for those who like fast-speed travel. The Skim Speeder would be better suited for technical driving and accurate cornering. The Podracer is for speed enthusiasts who enjoy risk taking.
In addition to that, since the stats of a vehicle can change as components and modifications are introduced to it, it is possible for two players to have different vehicle setups although they might be using the same vehicle class.
