To change your character’s hair color, you first need to craft a Floor Mirror. You can find this schematic under the Build menu > Furniture > Furnishing. You will need log x20 and glass x10 to craft one Floor Mirror. Place it anywhere within your base and interact with it to get the character customization menu. Over here, you can change your character’s hairstyle and hair color, along with other facial features. Now, you will need Butterfly Dye to color your hair. To get this item, you have to either place a mailbox at your base or find one in the overworld.
There is one mailbox you can check at Meyer’s Market in the Broken Delta region. Or you can head over to the Build menu > Facilities > Function Facilities and select the mailbox. Once you find or build a mailbox, check your mail. You will receive a Welcome Gift mail from the game devs with 3x Butterfly Dye. Use this item sparingly as this is a single use item. Beside this there is no other way to get Butterfly Dye in the game. When used on the Floor Mirror, you will get an RGB wheel, giving you a vast variety of colors to choose from
