Whither Lies the Heaven Wandering Tale is one of the short quests that you will complete in the Hidden Mountain area of Where Winds Meet. In the process of helping the Old Helmsman get some items back, you will also get to know more about him. All of the items are relatively easy to find, except for two of them. This guide will tell you how to unlock the quest, complete every step, and claim all the rewards.
How to Unlock Whither Lies the Haven
In order to start the Whither Lies the Haven Wandering Tale, travel to Shenze in the Hidden Mountain region. Travel to the Millennium Crossing Landmark Teleporter and proceed slightly to the north from that point. The Old Helmsman will be waiting near the spot. Just speak to him, and the quest will start.
Whither Lies the Heaven Quest
Speak with the Old Helmsman, who can be found north of the Millennium Crossing Landmark Teleporter, to start the quest. Starting at where the Old Helmsman is located, move to your left and look upwards. You will see Xiao Liangzi standing on the rooftop right above you.
Wait for Xiao Liangzi to turn away from you or go behind the hut and climb up while his back is turned. Use Celestial Seize to get the Old Helmsman’s Pendant and hand it over to the Old Helmsman. After a brief interaction with him, head inside his house and investigate the table to get a Vial quest item.
There’s another table inside the same house that has the Family Letter quest item. After getting both items, head back outside and hand them over to the Old Helmsman and watch the rest of the cutscene to complete the Whither Lies the Haven Wandering Tale quest. Finishing this quest gives you:
