Dinkum is a farming simulation game created by the Australian developer James Bendon. While the game is out on Steam early release, there are a lot of neat features in the game that make it worth paying for. There are new updates coming to the game which has been confirmed by the developer. This guide will take you through the process of where to find an Old Wheel in Dinkum.
How to Find an Old Wheel in Dinkum
Crafting plays a large role in Dinkum, and you will need a lot of materials if you want to craft all the items. There are some items that are rarer than others, and you might need a little help looking for them.

Old Wheels in particular, are required for some machinery that you need after a week or two in the game. You will need to level up your farming, and you can do so by planting and looking after crops. Once you reach a certain level, you will be able to unlock items such as Grain Mills which need an Old Wheel to craft.
This is an uncommon item that can be found in the wild, normally in barrels scattered around the map. As the maps are all randomly generated, there is no specific location for these items. You will just need to keep your eyes peeled for rusting barrels sticking out of the ground.
However, once you have established John into his shop, you will be able to buy the Metal Detector from him which allows you to look for metal completely buried under the terrain. You can use them to look for more of these barrels. Once you get one of them, dig it up with your shovel and smash the barrel open. They might have an old wheel inside. Sometimes the Detector will catch Old Wheels too.
