Genshin Impact’s Sumeru region is still far from its complete release with leaks saying new regions even in Version 3.6. Regardless, for those excited and hardcore bunch that have already explored the entirety of Sumeru and the available maps, this bit is for you all. Recent leaks have told us what players can expect in Fontaine- the nation of the Hydro Archon who’s the God of Justice.

What We Know About Fontaine

Fontaine is the nation of Justice. It is watched over by the Hydro Archon and it is also the nation where the Oceanid species was born. Apart from that, we also know Fontaine is very technologically advanced with theorycrafters speculating that the region will have a high-tech or steampunk aesthetic.

The Two characters we’ve seen from Fontaine seem to be theatre actors and performers and the NPCs we know from the region or those who’ve at least been there, are obsessively specific about law, customs and paperwork.

Recent leaks also reveal that Fontaine will have hyperspeed vessels and underwater mechanics. Some features of its underwater sceneries will be barnacles and clamshells of all shapes and sizes. One can imagine a high-tech Venetian city for reference where water dominates the landscape.

Diving and underwater exploration are reportedly under development too according to some leakers. We also know Fontaine will have Justice Machines or Automatons patrolling the region which are apparently high-tech humanoid robots created to maintain strict law and order in the nation.

Another leak also talks about a new vehicle called the “Sorush” which will have abilities of flight but it will also be similar to the Waverider we currently have. This vehicle will have something to do with Fontaine and is expected to release in Version 3.6 or 3.8 which would make sense since the Waverider was also released in the Golden Apple Archipelago before Inazuma in Version 2.0. Genshin devs may not have abandoned their alternate vehicular or transportation plans just yet.
