Kalpalata Lotus is one of the more difficult regional specialities to farm in Sumeru and this special flower is the ascension material for Dori and is also leaked to the ascension material for Nahida who releases in Genshin Impact 3.2. In this guide, we’ll show players an efficient route to collect the majority of the Kalpalata Lotuses in the Sumeru rainforest map.
Collect 60+ Kalpalata Lotuses in Genshin Impact Sumeru
Kalpalata Lotuses- though they may be named “Lotus” do not bear any resemblance to Lotuses except their shape. In fact, these flowers grow on cliffsides- usually those near bodies of water or waterfalls even.
Now that you know where to look, the following route ensures you a total of 62 Kalpalata Lotuses and they can be collected within 10-15 minutes depending on your game ping and level in the game. The recommended team for farming is two Anemo units for the Anemo Resonance which gives you Movement SPD bonus and characters that have talents that reduce Stamina Consumption for Sprinting and Gliding. Characters like Venti and Kazuha thus come in very handy.
The farming route looks somewhat like this and as you can see there are a total of 9 locations to farm. We’ll detail each of these locations below.
Location 1: Gandharva Ville Statue of the Seven
Head south from the Gandharva Ville Statue of the Seven. The Kalpalata Lotuses are hanging off the cliffsides near the waterfall.
Location 2: Waypoint West of Sumeru City
The shortest route would be to teleport to the waypoint west of Sumeru City and sprint southwest towards the location. The lotuses here should also be adorning the cliffsides of a waterfall.
Location 3: Waypoint North of Fane of Ashvattha
You can glide northeast from the waypoint north of Fane of Ashvattha. Here too the Kalpalata Lotuses are grouped in twos on the cliffsides near the waterfall.
Location 4: Underwater Waypoint East of Fane of Ashvattha
For this one, you need to have the underwater waypoint east of Fane of Ashvattha unlocked. The Kalpalata Lotuses here are growing on the giant trees adorning the cave walls in the location.
Location 5: Waypoint South of Yasna Monument
Next, you can teleport to the waypoint south of Yasna Monument. From here, first, you can collect the Lotuses closest to you on the cliffsides. Then you can glide towards the Yasna Monument and you’ll find the Kalpalata Lotuses growing on the cliffsides below you as you glide.
Location 6: Waypoint Northwest of Apam Woods
From the waypoint northwest of Apam Woods, glide towards the marked locations and you’ll find them flowers on the cliffsides below again.
Location 7: Vimara Village Waypoint
Teleport to the Vimara Village waypoint and head southeast. You’ll find the flowers growing on the lowermost cliffs. We recommend against going down to that stream as it takes up more time to climb and get these from each location instead of simply running along that cliff from top and collecting them from the edges.
Location 8: Waypoint Southeast of Devantaka Mountain
Teleport to the waypoint atop the mountain southeast of Devantaka Mountain and head east to collect the two lone lotuses. Teleport back to the same waypoint and head north next to collect the rest.
Location 9: Mawtiyama Forest Statue of the Seven
This is the last location because it is the most time-consuming one. You can choose to skip it in case you have enough too. Teleport to the Mawtiyama Forest Statue of the Seven and head northeast. Keep running along the top of the trees and cliffsides. Once you reach the locations of the flowers, you can collect them from the edges. You will also have Four-Leaf Sigils to aid you from the Statue to the first spot.
Collecting Kalpalata Lotus is very much like collecting Violetgrass in Liyue as they both grow on cliffs and are difficult to farm easily. This route can be cleared easily within 12 minutes provided you have good ping and characters like Kazuha and Venti who both aid in overworld exploration.
