Warzone 2’s Season 2 is fast approaching, and fans are anticipating a lot of new content. Activision has previously stated that revival mode will return next season, but interest in the map is on the rise. Despite this, the creators have yet to specify what type of terrain will be introduced in Season 2. More news will undoubtedly come out in the next two weeks, but the prospect of a new map Resurgence certainly tops the list.
The Warzone 2 Season 2 will be released on February 15, 2023. Activision originally planned on releasing the update on February 1, but it has been postponed until February 15. Activision has confirmed the release of a new tiny map with Resurgence mode in Season 2 of Warzone 2, confirming leaks that suggested the feature. According to Activision, “Resurgence and a brand new small map for Warzone 2.0 are on the way.”
Despite the lack of official information about the Resurgence map, it shows a castle, port, power plant, and town centre as POIs on the island. For authenticity, Activision has been removing photos of the map. In the meantime, there have been Resurgence Map leaks on the Reddit community. A leaked Resurgence Map from Call of Duty Warzone 2 has surfaced recently. Regardless of whether the map has been leaked for Warzone 2, fans are convinced it will be included in the game shortly.
As opposed to Al Mazrah, Resurgence is a much smaller map designed for faster games. A Ground War mode for 24v24 is also rumoured in this map. The graphic also indicates that the map can accommodate 50 players. Even if this is a rumour or bogus image, don’t dismiss the possibility that a Resurgence map may be forthcoming.
At the moment, that’s all we know about Warzone 2 Season 2, but we’ll keep you posted.
