You will meet NPCs who are willing to join you on your journey, but not all of them will view you the same way. Some NPCs need proof that you are worthy of their time and abilities before they can join you. But before you can do that, you need to know which NPCs will join you in your cause. Once you spot a character who is willing to join you, check their stat page by clicking on the Observe option under the Chat option. You can get this option by interacting with the NPC. Once you are in the Observe menu, this will show you all the stats and affinity of the NPC. At the very bottom of the screen is the Invite button. If this button is available, then you can recruit the character to your party.
Before you can invite the character to your party, you need to raise their affinity by providing gifts. We have a guide on how you can raise your companion’s affinity in Wandering Sword. Once their affinity reaches 60, the Invite option will be available, and you can recruit them. Also, another way you can check whether the character can be recruited is by checking their name. Some characters will have a tiger symbol next to their name, and those characters can be added to your party. There are a total of 14 recruitable companions you will come across while playing Wandering Sword.
