How to Start Rift Incursion in V Rising
To start playing the Rift Incursion, you need to first unlock the Eye of Mortium. You will unlock this monument as part of the main story progression and while upgrading your castle. This will unlock the new Ruins of Mortium zone, where creatures from the Shadow Realm will inhibit the area. The Ruins of Mortium itself will spawn randomly, so unless you have the Eye of Mortium, you won’t have any way of knowing when it will start and where
How to Play Rift Incursion in V Rising
Rift Incursions summon waves of enemies in the form of two smaller rifts first. Clear the smaller rifts to locate a more active zone where the boss will spawn. Usually they appear in the central summoning circle after clearing all the waves of smaller enemies. All you have to do is defeat the main boss to clear the Rift Incursion. There are two types of Rift Incursions for different levels
- Orange Rift – This is a tier 1 Rift Incursion recommended for players above 50+
- Red Rift – This is a tier 2 Rift Incursion recommended for players above 80+
Red Rifts have a fixed timer, as they appear right after the Orange rifts disappear. Rifts appear every hour and disappear after a 20 minute interval
Rewards for clearing Rift Incursion
Clearing Rift Incursion will reward you with the new currency called Stygian Shards. You will also get a chance to own Ancestral Weapons. You will also receive other misc rewards like XP and gold. You can always hover over the rifts before starting it to know what kind of rewards you will receive.
