Hangedman Boss Fight Preparation
To prepare yourself, you need to place a toxin or poison attribute to your weapons since the Hangedman is weak against it. Also, embed your weapons with crush damage to deal ample damage. The Hangedman will deal electric type damage, so prepare your gear with stats that will give you electric resistance. Its weak spots are its rear, core cap, and sensor. Also, this fight will test your health and defense, so you need extra high support for these two stats.
Hangedman Boss Fight Mechanics
Now that you are loaded into the arena, you should have a designated runner and assign the others for DPS. This fight is unique, as there are two phases to the boss. The first phase is where you can attack the boss normally, and the other phase is when it becomes enraged. The only way you can enrage it is by picking up the cube in the middle of the arena. His cube can be found close to the statue in the middle with red tubes that will fill up.
Hangedman Arena Mechanics
You or the designated runner should try and get close to the statue and pick up the cube before it fills up. It can get risky as you need to keep an eye on the boss and also the statue will deal some damage if you linger too close to it. Once you have picked up the cube, the boss will become enraged. To stop it from destroying the arena, you have to shoot the laser within its mouth. The laser has a health bar that you can keep an eye on to see if it is destroyed
During this time, the meter on the statue will stop filling up. If the meter does get filled, it will cause a full arena wipe, resulting in instant death. So while the boss is in enraged mode, you have to stagger it by hitting the laser, then watch as the tubes reduce to 40%. Place the cube back on the pedestal to return the boss to its normal mode. The tubes will not refill beyond 40%, but your task is to destroy the statue entirely. Again, pick up the cube and repeat the steps above to stagger the boss and place the cube back to reduce the fluid flow to 80%
Important Notes
Prioritize your Runner and revive them whenever they are down. The Runner’s main job is to collect the cube and not die, and replace the cube to lower the boss’s health. The boss will mostly not attack the Runner and would focus more on the players on DPS, but if the Runner is caught you have to revive them. Keeping this in mind is crucial, so if you or a teammate is the designated runner, you need to work on a strong speed build to evade the Hangedman’s attacks.
