Kill the Crimson Fleet Captain
You can choose to attack the captain, but you will be shot first in the process. You can attempt this path i you have come prepared with ammo and medical supplies. The captain is a level 6 enemy, and the fight will get tougher after the officers and other pirates show up. To get through the fight quickly, shoot the canister behind the captain to cause an explosion. This will weaken the captain and kill the officers. Use your remaining bullets to fire at the captain before the other pirates show up. The pirates who appear are level 2 enemies, so you can quickly tackle them as well. For your efforts, you can loot a rare gun off the captain’s corpse, as well as receive some ammo and credits.
Persuade the Crimson Fleet Captain
If you are not too confident about your fighting skills, you can go through the dialog options and try to persuade him. You can ask him to tell his crew to back away from your ship, but you need to pick the right choices. So far the choices you pick will give you a random outcome, so it is a gamble to know what will work. Most of the time the captain will be persuaded to give up on your ship, and after that you are free to leave.
