With the release of Nahida in Version 3.2 confirmed, the next hyped 5-star release is actually that of the final villain of the Sumeru Archon Quest Chapter- Scaramouche the Wanderer. Scaramouche has already been leaked to be an Anemo DPS unit but until now we had no clear idea about his kit or his weapon. The latest leaks from the Chinese servers reveal some exciting details though these must be taken with a massive grain of salt as other servers haven’t confirmed them.
Anemo DPS Scaramouche in Genshin Impact 3.3
He’s leaked to be a catalyst DPS and his kit is similar to that of Venti and Kazuha in the sense that his E skill makes him float too. His Q is also compared to Venti’s though many leakers have said that it’s much less potent and of a shorter duration too. This above excerpt also says that Scaramouche will have his own new dedicated artifact set which will rely on him using his E skill multiple times. Just like Heizou, this will likely be his main source of damage.
The above leak here gives us a brief overview into his primary talents. Curiously enough, in his E skill, Scaramouche cannot plunge which sets him apart from Kazuha or Venti. His normals are compared to Heizou’s fighting style so we can expect him to be another melee catalyst user. His overworld talent is also apparently the same as Kazuha, Heizou and many others who reduce Sprinting Stamina consumption.
Scaramouche’s DPS revolves around his wind blades which he can unleash through his E skill whereby he brings out a sword similar to how Childe changes his weapon from a bow to a polearm in his burst. Perhaps this could be a sign of all playable harbingers having two weapon combat styles in their kit. As an Anemo unit, these wind blades can also get infused by elements in which case they’ll get stronger.
His burst is also described as being able to infuse 4 elements which we’ll have to witness to be clear on its abilities. Since it’s described as being similar to Heizou’s burst too, maybe it will have an AoE similar to Venti’s and function similar to Heizou’s.
Overall, he looks like another fun and exciting character to play and we can’t wait for more leaks when the Version 3.3 Beta goes live. The hype for Scaramouche matches that of Nahida’s as he’s the second playable Fatui Harbinger and we’ve seen him as early as Version 1.1 which is right at the beginning of the game.
