With 9 planets and some significantly larger than others, fast travel is a mechanics that should ideally be a part of the game. So, naturally, as a players of the game you must be wondering if Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has fast travel. While the game is not open-world, it’s still vast and can take time to get from one point to the other. We know that the game has several means that allows you to traverse faster, but is there a fast travel option so you can zap from one point to the other. How to Fast Travel in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

While the game does offer players the option to fast travel, it’s not widely available in the game and players are limited to some areas on some planets. To fast travel in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, you need to locate portals on some planets and stand on it. Once you stand on the portal, you will learn of the destination where you will be zapped. There is no option in the game to choose your destination.

In other words, it’s a portal rather than a traditional fast travel option. A portal takes you to a selected destination and back again to your original destination. While it may not appear much, it quite useful once you start to use it.

Fortunately, you do not just have to rely on the portals to traverse the world of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. There are creatures and machines that can be used. Here are the various ways you can travel in each planet.

  • On planet Sargasso, you can ride on the back of a snail like creature called Speetles.
  • Later, as you progress in the game, you will find a creature called Trudi, it appears like a dragon. You can only get this creature on Sargasso.
  • On planet Savali you will find Hoverboots. Using the Hoverboots to fly over the pressure plates further increases the speed of travel. Once you unlock this item, it will stay with you for the rest of the game.
