Glumberland created and released Ooblets. It is a life simulation computer game. The agricultural aspects from Story of Seasons are combined with the creature collection and battle mechanics from Pokémon.
Dance Battles are a key part of gameplay in Ooblets. Players can hold them against wild ooblets to acquire their seeds, NPC’s at certain points in the story to advance it forward, or trainers at the Dance Barn to win tournaments and prizes.
This guide will show you how to win dance battles in Ooblets.

Winning Dance Battles in Ooblets
Dance battles are conducted like a deck-builder. Every player is given a set number of beats per turn which can be used to play cards. Different card types take up different numbers of beats. To win a round, you must meet the point goal before your opponent does – this number depends on how many players there are in total. The number of beats each player has changed depending on the situation.
You’ll use various moves depending on what cards you play, but they’re not all equal – so choose wisely. Use these helpful tips to make an informed decision when choosing which card suits your needs best.
- Hype increases the number of points gained or stolen by 1 point per hype; gaining it early on in battle will allow you to rack up points much faster than if you were to gain it during the final moments.
- Stealing subtracts points from your opponent’s score and adds them to yours. Points that are not present cannot be stolen, so a team with 5 points can only have up to 5 points stolen from them, even if the move would have taken more.
- Some moves require a certain number of turns before they can be activated. During this time, the Ooblet in question cannot perform any other signature moves unless it is stunned or otherwise incapacitated.
- Stunning an Ooblet prevents them from performing any unique moves for the duration of the stun.
- Fluster can decrease the number of points you gain or steal from your opponent by one point per use. It is important to remember that fluster can only be counteracted in a limited way, so it is best to try and avoid its usage entirely if possible.
Once a team has reached the point goal, they win the dance battle. If they win against another player’s Ooblet, they can gain an item from that specific type of Ooblet; if it was against wild ones, it might take some time for them to find one.
