The Forsaken Giant Location
You have to venture into the Forsaken Monolith or Forgotten Monolith in Red Sands. You will reach this area as part of the main story quest.
The Forsaken Giant Fight Preparation
This is a level 60 boss, so it is recommended to reach max level to deal with the Forsaken Giant as a solo player. Also, it is best to work on your builds. Some builds like the Shrapnel, Sniper, or Power Surge build can help. You can experiment with the Frost Vortex build for this fight, but the Shrapnel build works just as good here. While working on your build, focus more on enhancing weak spot damage while increasing crit rate and weapon damage.
Mods and consumables will also be helpful here. The Life Force HP can boost your max HP, while consumables like assorted canned fruit can increase weak spot damage up to 25%. Carrying the Blue Liquor or Spring Legs consumable can increase your jump limit, while Living Armor can restore HP. Also, healing deviants like the Festering Gel is required for the fight
The Forsaken Giant Boss Fight Guide
When you enter the arena, look at the boss and find out where the red glowing spot appears. This is its weak spot, and you have to focus on hitting this. The spot can appear on the arms and palms during the initial stages of the fight. Also, another thing to note is that depending on which area the red spot appears, the Forsaken Giant will use that limb to attack you. So if you notice the red spot on its right arm, then the boss will try to slam their right fist on the ground near you or swipe at you using their right arm. The same tactic applies if you spot the red glow on their left arm or palm
You also have to keep an eye on where the Forsaken Giant slams their fist. The ground you are on can easily break if the boss keeps hitting the same spot. So try to move across the field so that the boss will focus on slamming down on different areas of the stage. During the initial slams from the boss, it will release a slow shockwave which can be dodged by jumping up. Later on, once the boss is ¾ in health, you will spot a red beam appear over you. That means the boss is targeting you and will slam hard wherever you are. The shockwave from this cannot be seen so you have to run and jump as soon as you see the fist land on the ground. Again, try to time the fist slam in different areas of the stage so the stage doesn’t break, as consecutive hits to the same area will break it
As for the arm swipe attack, look for the glowing spot on the palm of the boss. That means the boss will use that hand to swipe across the field. If you see that, run in the opposite direction to avoid it. Besides the hand swipe and fist slam, the boss will cover their face and spew something that looks like tears. From these tears new minion enemies will spawn. They won’t pose much of a threat so you can just keep running away from them and focus more on hitting the boss’s weak spots. Try to lure them in the area where the boss might slam their fist so you can get rid of them.
Once the minions are dead, they will leave behind some orbs that can be picked up and tossed at the boss to reveal its weak spots. Around this time, you will get a warning that the boss will destroy the arena, and a new enemy called the Arbiter will spawn along with flying enemies. Defeat the flying enemies first as their projectiles will follow you and hit you, then deal with the Arbiter and the boss. You can run past the Arbiter and focus more on the flying enemies and the boss, then deal with the Arbiter when you get the time.
Now, the glowing red spot will move to the center of the boss. At this time, the boss will start spewing homing orbs that will self-destruct on impact. Those are quite easy to dodge as long as you keep an eye on them. Once the boss is less than half health, you will notice black circles appear on the floor. Ignore hitting the boss for now and avoid the black circles, as this will release beams of dark matter that will damage you. The rest of the fight is a repeat of all the moves mentioned above, so keep following up these tips and complete the boss fight
