NBA 2K23 has already been released on September 9th, 2022. Devin Booker will appear on the standard edition cover, while Michael Jordan will appear on the cover of the limited-edition counterpart, which includes extra features.
The wildly popular NBA 2K series will release the 23rd installment of its series this Fall; fittingly enough, one legend from each side of the ball gets his or her time to shine. Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker joins previous cover athlete Michael Jordan, who was just inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame last month, and two-time WNBA Champion Diana Taurasi all-star Sue Bird for what promises to be a landmark year for basketball games everywhere.

Following Booker’s career-best season, where he averaged 26.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals, even leading his team to 64 games in the regular season – Booker was rewarded with an All-NBA First Team honour at age 25 and came in fourth place for the MVP award after being on covers of other NBA video games including ‘2K16’.
This is especially notable as he became one of the few players from Phoenix Suns alongside Shaquille O’Neal ever selected by ‘2K Games’ to be on its cover since they were first released back in 1999 while cementing 2K’s second consecutive year of featuring WNBA superstars on its cover following Candace Parker.
The NBA 2K 23 Standard Edition will retail for $60 USD across the board (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC), while the next generation console editions cost an extra $10 USD. The Michael Jordan Edition costs $99.99, while the game’s largest edition – Championship Edition – will retail for $149.99, including a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass.
