NBA 2K23’s gameplay director Mike “Beluba” Wang, and the development team have introduced several additional layup packages for both the Current and the Next Gen. Layup controls for NBA 2K23: Complete List
- Runner/Floater: While driving in close range, move and hold the Right Stick (RS) down.
- Normal Layup: While driving in close range, move and hold the Right Stick up.
- Reverse Layup: While driving along the right baseline and vice versa, move and hold Right Stick toward your right.
- Cradle Layup: While driving, double-press Square/X when holding Left Stick (LS) toward the ball hand.
- Hop Step Layup: Press Square/X with Left Stick moved to your left or right, then hold Square/X to perform this move.
- Euro Step Layup: While driving, double-press Square/X and hold the Left Stick toward the off-ball hand.
- Quick Scoop Layup: Move and hold the Right Stick to your right or left while driving.
- Spin Layup: Hold R2/RT and double-tap Square/X, then hold Square/X
