Kinrangr Guardian Folard Location
To find this boss, you should head over to Fief of the Chill Curse. You can spot the boss at the end of an Icy Cave. To get to the Fief of the Chill Curse, you will find the hint to get there after defeating the Spurned Progeny boss and returning to Skyrest. Check out the shining item near the Vestige here, which happens to be a note. Make your way to Windmill Village as the note says and pass through the giant gate after shifting to Umbral. Keep going through the passage till you find the Umbral Effigy and transform out of Umbral. You are now close to the boss’s lair, so just keep going to find him.
Kinrangr Guardian Folard Fight Preparation
This boss deals with frost damage, so embedding your weapons with fire, poison, or holy salts will help increase your damage. Also, Frostbite Cure and Frostbite Resistance Balms are a must for this fight.
Kinrangr Guardian Folard Fight Guide
- Before you begin, you should be aware of an Umbral entity that is controlling the boss and his wolves. You need to get rid of it first.
- This entity is usually located in the left side of the arena, just past the little river that flows through the area. Make your way over there and use your lamp to get rid of the entity
- Now you can attack Folard and his wolf hounds with more ease
- Defeat the wolves first, they won’t reappear after they are down.
- The main attacks of Folard are from his giant axe that can deal Frostbite status effect
- After each swing, he will pause for a while, giving you an opportunity to get behind him and stab him
- Try not to linger behind him for too long, as he will use ice attacks near him to take you out.
- It is best to land one or two hits, dodge away, wait for his attack animation to finish, then roll back in and stab him
- If you get too far, he will summon iciles from the ground towards you. This can be avoided by dodging left or right
- Keep close to him, dodge, and attack to get rid of him
