Redfall, the new IP by Arkane Studios and Bethesda has been outed in the Brazilian Xbox store! Now it says that Redfall is “Coming in winter 2022” despite being no formal announcements.
Rumor has it that Redfall won’t be released until 2023. What is still not clear is whether this is delayed to winter 2023 or winter 2022. What we do know is:
1) The project was planned for release in the summer of 2022.
2) There have been no official announcements or updates.
3) The dev team’s transparency and responsiveness do not inspire much confidence. So, while nothing is set in stone, it seems highly likely Redfall won’t launch until next year.
Let’s hope this means the game will release sometime in that winter 2022 window. In case it gets taken down, the text translates to “Available in winter”. As such, we will likely have to wait until 2022 to get our hands on Redfall. At least now, we have a target window to aim for.
There’s a lot to look forward to in Redfall and I’m curious to see if the game is able to live up to its promise. Arkane Studios are clearly taking this one seriously. As the leader in first-person co-op shooters, Fallout 76 should help them make the jump into more competitive multiplayer games. Unfortunately, either way, we’re going to have a long wait for Redfall, with no firm release date set just yet.
