Now that you have come to the end of Dying Light 2, you have one final decision to make. After you have fought off Waltz, he has set his sights on destroying Old Villedor and launching missiles to wipe out whatever is left of humanity. Lawan has proposed that she will sacrifice her life and stop the missiles from launching. Now you are faced with a dilemma, to let Lawan go and sacrifice herself by detonating the bomb, or save her and let the missiles launch into Old Villedor.
Save Lawan
If you wish to save Lawan, you will have to reach the building she is in within 2 minutes to stop her from detonating the bomb. In the process, Aiden will start turning into the infected and try to attack her, and fortunately, he does not kill her. He then uses his abilities to carry Lawan to safety while the missiles have launched, destroying Old Villedor and killing almost everyone in it.
Let Lawan Sacrifice Herself
The outcome to this is straightforward; Lawan dies after detonating the bombs but stops the missiles from launching. In the meantime, Aiden gets to leave the facility with Mia while Waltz is left to die. There is a possibility of Lawan being saved by Hakon, but it depends upon the decisions you have made in the past. You will get notified of this outcome towards the end of the game.
In both endings, there will be a cut scene where Spike will enter the Fish Eye Canteen and learn from Nikolas that Aiden has left Villedor and is nowhere to be found. If you have chosen the second option, you will also learn that Mia has passed a few hours after being saved from Facility X-13.
