The game DNF Duel has some new combat moves that you can use in battle, which include the Awakening Effects and Awakening Skill. These are activated once you have reached a certain point of HP in battle in DNF Duel.

As you fight your opponent in the game arena, you will begin to lose health if they deal a lot of damage to you. You should use Block and Guard Cancel to counter them, but in case you cannot, your HP will drop. The good news is that the Awakening Effects and Awakening Skill will become available to you once your character is down to 30% HP.
The low HP has a plus-side as you will receive some passive buffs which can turn the tide of the game, and give you a renewed chance to strive for victory. The buffs that you receive are different depending on the character that you have chosen, and can vary in power as well. These will more often than not deal damage to your opponent. Some of these boosts are defensive perks which can increase the level of your defense and armor. These are the Awakening Effects that you will receive.
The Awakening Skill on the other hand, is a different move which you can perform only once in a round. It’s a good idea to wait until you have the best opportunity at the end of the match, when victory is imminent, and then use it. The Awakening Skill is best used as a finisher in this manner, instead of trying to fit it in mid-game where it might not work.
