The Sonic Resonator is one of the most important tools you will unlock in Subnautica 2. It allows you to clear strange anomalies, open blocked paths, and continue exploring new areas of the ocean. Without this tool, your progress will come to a stop at the Second Bloom. In this guide, we will show you where to find the Sonic Resonator fragments, how to unlock the blueprint, and what materials you need to craft.

How to Unlock Sonic Resonator

In order to unlock the Sonic Resonator, you should go to the Quaker Black Box upon getting the story notification for this location. Here, you will notice a big ruined habitat full of tech and loot to scan. Be sure to explore both the interior and exterior of the building. There are several Sonic Resonator fragments that you may collect from the debris scattered throughout the location. Scanning between two and three fragments is enough to unlock the blueprint.

The easiest Sonic Resonator fragment to locate is within the ruined base from which Quaker’s distress beacon comes. This is the first fragment that players scan during their exploration of the area.

The second Sonic Resonator fragment is located near an unusual anomaly. The next Sonic Resonator fragment can be scanned from the inside of the cave.

Once you have unlocked the Sonic Resonator blueprint, you can craft the tool at any Fabricator. The ingredients required for crafting the Sonic Resonator are one Basic Battery, two Titanium Ingots, two Lead, and one Wiring Kit. You can make a Wiring Kit at the Fabricator using one Silver Ore and one Copper Wire.

How to Get Titanium

Titanium is a very important resource in Subnautica 2, which is needed not only for simple items but also for building large structures within bases. Moreover, titanium is one of the first resources that you get when you start playing the game. To know more, read our guide on “How to Get Titanium in Subnautica 2”.

How to Get a Basic Battery

The Basic Battery can be crafted by using two units of copper and one Acidic Raion Pouch at any available Fabricator. Copper can be obtained easily from the walls of underground caverns. To get an Acidic Raion Pouch, look for Acid Raion and harvest one of their pouches with your tool. Once you have these materials, return to the Fabricator and craft the Basic Battery.

How to Get Leads

Lead is an important resource in Subnautica 2 that you will need in the game for crafting important tools and advanced materials. It is useful for making the Sonic Resonator, a tool that allows you to break large resource deposits and gather materials more efficiently. Lead is also used to craft Germanium, which becomes important for more advanced recipes later in the game.

How to Get Silver

It can be quite a challenge to locate silver at the early stages of gameplay in Subnautica 2. In this guide, I will cover some easy methods for finding silver deposits by examining a nearby trench, looking for significant landscape features, and determining where unique plant formations are located that indicate valuable resources hidden inside underwater caves.
