Unlocking All Secondary Weapons in Sniper Elite 5

The secondary weapons, like many other weapons in the game, are acquired through completing objectives. These weapons can also be unlocked by completing specific tasks while on these missions.

The list of secondary weapons in Sniper Elite 5 and how to unlock them is shown below.

M1A1 Gov SMG

The M1A1 Gov SMG is unlocked immediately at the beginning of the game.

Because of its iron sights, the M1A1 Gov possesses strong close-range damage but middling long-range damage and poor accuracy. The weapon has an audible range of 120 metres and a magazine capacity of 20 rounds.

Welgun SMG

From the start of the game, you can also use the Welgun SMG.

The Welgun SMG is more visible and has a faster aim time than the M1A1 Gov, but it delivers less damage. It has a 44m audible range, making it quieter than the M1A1 Gov. It comes with a 32-round magazine.

Machine Pist.40

The Machine Pist.40 SMG becomes accessible after completing the Kill Challenge in Mission 1: The Atlantic Wall.

The Machine Pist.40 provides modest damage as well, but it is easier to wield and manage. It has an audible range of 90m and a magazine capacity of 32 bullets, just like the Welgun SMG.

Machine Pist.44

The Machine Pist.44 SMG becomes unlocked after completing the Kill Challenge in Mission 4: War Factory.

The Machine Pist.44 does more damage at short and long ranges and has a lower bullet drop than the Machine Pist.40. However, it is tough to manage. This weapon has a 100m audible range, which is quite noisy, although invisibility isn’t really an issue for a submachine gun. It also has a lesser magazine capacity than the Machine Pist.40, with only 30 rounds.

Stengun MK2

The Stengun Mk2 SMG becomes unlocked after completing Mission 6: Liberation.

Despite its limited damage output, the Stengun Mk2 is a respectable SMG in that it allows for a wide range of modifications. Stengun MK2 has an audible range of around 85m, which is not particularly loud for this SMG. The Stengun Mk2 also comes with a big 32-round magazine.

Type 100

After completing the Kill Challenge in Mission 5: Festung Guernsey, Type 100 is unlocked.

Type 100 is a decent SMG since it has minimal recoil and a quick rate of fire, however, it lacks in terms of damage. This SMG has a 90-meter audible range and a 30-round magazine capacity.

After earning your preferred secondary weapon, you can modify and personalize it using one of the game’s Workbenches. Look for the gold icon that displays on your map when you move through the region to discover a Workbench.

I am a history graduate and turned my hobby into a passion. When I am not writing, I am playing games. I love games that revolve around the main “Hero” character. My love for COD started when I was 18 and since then it has been growing. Other games that I love are Assasin’s Creed, Grand Theft Auto V. Currently building an affair with the story-based games.
