Dinkum is a survival game, and cooking, like in other survival games, is critical to keeping your character alive and healthy. If your character runs out of life or energy, the game gets increasingly harder to play.
Dinkum is a game inspired by Animal Crossing in which you may create your own house, explore forests, and raise various crops on your farm. This guide will walk you through the process of terraforming in the game.

Terraforming in Dinkum
When playing the game, you may come across lumpy locations or somewhat raised, making it harder to build anything on them. Terraforming allows you to level down these areas so that you may plant crops or build buildings on them.
The first tool accessible to terraform land in the game is the conventional shovel, which you may use to remove all the soil. It’s great for eliminating a single block of land because flattening a huge piece of land might take a long time.
The Compactor, which can instantly flatten vast plots of ground in a matter of seconds, is the next best technique to terraform terrain. Franklyn will commission it for 50,000 Dinks, and you will require
- 6 Iron Bars
- 5 Gears
- 2 Hot Cylinders
- 1 Green Board
- 1 Shovel with a crafting time of 1 day
Please keep in mind that it will entirely damage the dirt or sand. Therefore, if you need to move some dirt, use a shovel. Another disadvantage is that it cannot demolish soil or sand one block higher than where you are standing.
You will need to recharge the compactor on a regular basis by commissioning a Franklyn Charging Station for 100,000 Dinks and
- 8 Copper Bars
- 8 Iron Bars
- 8 Bright Wires
- 3 Hot Cylinders
- 2 Green Boards
Depending on your consumption, charging the compactor might take up to half a day. Continue reading our Dinkum game guide for the most up-to-date information about the game.
