Before you can unlock most ship blueprints, you would need to level up first. The only way you can unlock higher level ships is after reaching Brigand. Then you can check the Knowledge menu’s Codex option to track how to unlock the Padewakang ship. You would need to purchase the blueprint of the ship from the Shipwright vendor in Telok Penjarah, East Indies. It will cost 5280 Silver to purchase it. After that, you need to locate the following materials to craft the Padewakang ship

  • 19x Ironwood Plank
  • 15x Steel Ingot
  • 15x Fine Ramie
  • 4x Shellac
  • 4x Crude Saltpeter
  • 2880x Silver

Most of the above materials can be obtained by refining raw materials at the Refinery. You can also purchase them from vendors across the map. You would probably find Ironwood Plank, Steel Ingot, and Fine Ramie early in the game, but Shellac and Crude Saltpeter can be a bit tougher to get. For Crude Saltpeter, visit the Leader in Rangnok Cave Outpost. You can find this outpost northeast of Telok Penjarah. After that, from the outpost, make your way north to Sangdad. There are several shipwrecks here you can investigate to get Shellac, or even purchase one from the vendor here. Once you have all the materials, you can quickly craft the Padewakang ship
