Getting Bearings in My Time At Sandrock
Mechanical scrap may be used to make bearings by feeding it through a recycling machine. Fabricating a Recycling Machine is one of the first tasks you will be given in the game, and it will need you to collect 3 pieces of wood, 2 grinding saws (obtainable through the Worktable) and 2 stone troughs. Once you’ve started the Recycler, you’ll need to find the Mechanical Scrap.
Rocky’s Eufaula Salvage Yard, which is southeast of the house workshop, has Mechanical Scrap heaps spread throughout. If the Salvage Yard does not have enough Mechanical Scrap for your crafting needs, you can go next door to the Eufaula Shop. Rocky will offer ten Mechanical Scrap heaps for 32 Gols a piece.
Once the Mechanical Scrap is loaded into the Recycler, it will take 1 hour 45 minutes to process in real time. Following completion, there is a
- 60% chance of obtaining a Bearing from the pile.
- 50% chance of obtaining Dregs.
- 40% chance of obtaining Old Parts.
