One of the newer mechanics you need to get a hang on is gardening and planting, and there are tons of plants for you to grow. Having plants makes it easier to gain crafting materials, hence why you would be on a lookout for seeds. As with most plants, you would require poppy seeds to grow poppy in the Crossroads. The only way you can find poppy seeds is while exploring Tartarus. This area is only reachable at the later stages of the game, so you can’t get poppy seeds very early. Also, you require the silver spade to dig up poppy seeds here. While exploring Tartarus, you will find dirt mounds around several areas. Dig them up to get a chance at obtaining poppy seeds. 

Once you have poppy seeds, you can take it to the Crossroads and plant them. It will take around 21 encounters for poppy seeds to grow into poppy. Once grown, you can then take poppy to the cauldron to craft the Aspect of Persephone. This aspect is required to increase the omega attack damage of the Argent Skull weapon. Since the game is still in early access, there isn’t any other use for poppy beside this
