The Dark Horizon is the third premium DLC for Remnant 2, released in September 2024 for all platforms, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. There’s an unearthing of forgotten history and secrets in the desolate and eerie landscapes of N’erud. Perception is a new Trait introduced in Remnant 2. It boosts both Haste and Slow effects.

How to Get the Perception Trait

You can find the Perception Trait by completing the Noxious Gas Chamber in the Stagnant Manufactory (N’erud).

In the chamber, you’ll encounter a dead body on the ground and a recording that warns about a deadly noxious gas. Look out for a purple canister releasing the toxin. Once you’re in, there’s no turning back, so you’ll need to push through to progress.

Shoot the canister and make your way through quickly. You’ll start taking contamination damage, so keep moving to minimize the harm.

Destroy the canister to create a gap, then head to the right. You’ll encounter some enemies, take them out quickly and keep going through the only available path. Soon, you’ll come across a second noxious gas canister. Shoot it and move through. Keep going until you hit a dead end, then climb the structure ahead. Climb up the platform until you reach a dead end, then drop down to the next area. Head through the door where you will find the enemy waiting for you at the other end. Kill the enemy and go down to the end of the corridor for the elevator.  When at the upper level, you will have a few small enemies waiting for you, kill them. At either side of the room you will find a noxious gas canister. Proceed to the right side of the room and destroy the canister.

Take the gap again. There is a ladder in the next room, ascend it and move forward and take a left turn into the gap, to the other side from the enemy you just defeated. Continue down the corridor and fall through the hole in the floor. Step forward through the only opening path, where you’ll find several enemies – be careful of the Amalgam. Defeat it, then step onto the elevator on the opposite side to get up to the upper level.

Call all the enemies on the upper level to kill them. Look for the noxious gas canister, shoot it and move through. Turn left and destroy the second canister. Then, push forward, killing all those creatures on your way, get to the platform and jump over to the further one. From there, drop down and destroy the canister on the left. Move forward and confront another Amalgam – take it down, then head into the small corridor. Follow it all the way to the end, turn right, and you’ll find an elevator that takes you up. Defeat the two enemies on the higher level, then interact with the console to finish the quest. You’ll receive the Perception trait as a reward.

Builds in Remnant 2 that use Perception

In Remnant 2, builds are optimized combinations of different Archetypes, Weapons, Armor, Traits, Perks, Skills, and other customization options tailored to specific playstyles and objectives. If you find your gameplay feeling stale or are having trouble with a particular part of the game, consider trying a new build.
