Overwatch 2 has been released in October as the sequel to the massively popular first-person shooter game Overwatch. Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, the game has undergone a couple of important changes which have made players and fans of the franchise eager to try it out. The team sizes have been reduced from six to five, which is one of the main issues addressed. However, most of the gameplay remains the same. In this guide, we will take you through how to get Mercy to fly in Overwatch 2.
Can Mercy Fly in Overwatch 2?
Mercy is one of the characters that you can pick in Overwatch 2, and she was in the previous version of the game as well. However, there was an exploit that players could use to allow her to jump into the sky, sort of like flying. In the new version, the devs have added this feature to the game, and they call it the Super Jump.
You can make Mercy fly by using the Super Jump feature in Overwatch 2. It is a maneuver in his movement abilities kit which you can use without having to resort to the exploit like in Overwatch 1. Mercy will now be able to fly for a short time, by jumping into the sky to escape danger.
The first thing that you will need to do if you want to get Mercy to fly in Overwatch 2 is to learn how to do a Super Jump. You can try out the Practice Range for this purpose so as not to fumble in a real game. It is much easier than it was in Overwatch 1.
While you are looking at an ally, you will need to use your Guardian Angel ability to fly towards them. There is a meter on the right, and the further you travel in a single Guardian Angel use, the more this bar will fill up. It basically shows you how much farther you will go when you perform the Super Jump.
Here are the controls for the Super Jump.
- CTRL on PC
- Circle on PlayStation
