How to Unlock or Get the Petrificus Totalus in Hogwarts Legacy
The great thing about this spell is that it’s tied to the main story, so there is no way you can miss it if you simply follow the story. You will unlock the spell during the main quest – Secrets of the Restricted Section. This is the 8th main quest in the game.
You will unlock the ‘Secrets of the Restricted Section’ quest after you complete Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1. Once the assignment is complete, go back to Professor Fig and head further with the game’s main story.
During the quest, you will also unlock the Disillusionment spell, allowing you to temporarily turn yourself invisible. Combine the two spells to take down foes.
How to Use Petrificus Totalus in Hogwarts Legacy
When combined with the Disillusionment spell, Petrificus Totalus can be very effective. Using the first spell, you can turn invisible and sneak up on enemies. When you are close enough, you can use the Petrificus Totalus to immobilize them and then continue to inflict damage with other spells. Do note that stronger enemies will quickly break away from the spell.
