To start the extraction process, you first need to find and activate certain escape portals. These portals spawn randomly around the dungeon, so you and your team need to work your way around to locate them. They usually appear when you are more than halfway through the game, and you do get notified of any nearby portals appearing. Not only can you see the details of the portal’s spawning time, but you can also take a look at the log on the right side of the screen to see if it has been activated by other players. If a portal has been activated, you cannot use that same portal unless you can get there before they leave and kill them. That way the portal isn’t used and you can use it to escape.
Since portals are not marked on the map, you need to locate them manually. Anytime you activate a portal, your location will be pinged to other players. You have only 10 seconds to activate it and make your escape before someone gets to you. Using a Ritual Scroll will help you stay undetected. Besides using portals, you can also check out the map for blue markers indicating escape rooms. You can simply enter the room and make your escape. Each map offers two of such rooms and cannot be reused once a player has gone through.
