Dinkum is a game with lots of islands that you can explore and forage in. It is a farming and life sim game where you make the place the way you want it to be. This guide will take you through the process of how to connect islands with bridges in Dinkum.
How to Craft and Use Bridges in Dinkum
As you play Dinkum you might find the disconnected islands to be a bit of a nuisance. You lose energy as you pass through the water, and you don’t have a boat yet. Well, there is a way that you can get from island to island on foot: bridges.

Making a bridge is quite easy, as you only need Building License Level 1. Here are the materials you need to craft it:
- 15 Nails
- 15 Wood Plank (any of the same type)
Nails are easily obtained. You will need to mine tin ore, smelt it into a bar, and craft it on the crafting table. As for the wood planks, you can choose any wood of your type depending on what you want your bridge to look like. You can choose from Gum Wood, Palm Wood and Hard Wood. Alternatively, you can make a Bridge out of bricks, but you will need a lot of Stone as well as a Grinder.
Once you have the necessary materials, take them to the crafting table and craft the bridge. You will need to travel with the bridge in your hotkeys to a waterbody that you want to cross. You will be able to place the bridge here. Make sure to choose the correct position so that your bridge doesn’t end up too short, or underwater.
When you have erected your bridge, it will connect to the other side in a single click. You can see it on the map as a straight line between islands.
