Overwatch 2 has been recently released as the sequel to the massively popular first-person shooter game Overwatch. Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, the game has undergone a couple of important changes which have made players and fans of the franchise eager to try it out. The team sizes have been reduced from six to five, which is one of the main issues addressed. However, most of the gameplay remains the same as you need to shoot your best shot. In this guide, we will take you through how to block and unblock players in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2: How to Block Players and Unblock Them
Playing online has its caveats, and one of them is annoying people. There are some who can sneak past the SMS Protect feature that Blizzard has implemented, and cause havoc in the game. In such a case, there is nothing to do but block these players. Thankfully, the devs have provided players with this option.

If you have encountered a truly annoying or toxic user in Overwatch 2, you will be able to block them from interacting with you. This can happen over text or voice chat, and reporting these players will notify the devs so that they take the necessary action later. Make a note of the player’s name after a match so that you can report and block them.
In order to block a player, you will need to navigate to the Social tab from the main menu of the game. There is a section called Recent Players here where you will find the player’s name if you click on it. Right-click on the name and you will get the option to either Block or Report.
When you report the player, you will be asked the reason which you can choose from the dropdown menu. After this, they will be blocked.
If you wish to unblock the player, you will need to find their name again in the same place called Recent Players. Right-click on the name to see the options. You should have an Unblock option now. Click on it to unblock the player.
