Rumours have been floating around about Genshin’s new endgame content- the TCG or Trading Card Game. Players have been hungry for more endgame content ever since Spiral Abyss has become increasingly difficult for casual players. Players wanted more fun and accessible endgame content since a majority of those who cleared Spiral Abyss were P2W and naturally had better gear and characters. In this article, we’re going to discuss the latest leaks and updates of the TCG mode leak we covered before.
New Updates About Genshin Impact’s New Endgame Content- The TCG Mode
The earliest leaks claimed it was likely coming to the game in Version 3.1. Recent leaks however have pushed back the tentative date of its release to Version 3.2 or 3.3 since TCG isn’t featured or even mentioned in the Version 3.1 Beta. There are other leaks on the subject- read on below to find out.
There have also been a few leaks about its gameplay and how it’s all going to work. From the looks of it, they are trying to make it a more balanced mode where weapons and builds won’t matter but that’s just hopeful speculation. The characters will take the spotlight in this mode so perhaps those will better characters will have a natural advantage.
The game mode will have a levelling mechanism with 10 being the upper limit. The first 2 levels are likely to get the players used to the new game mode and figure out its mechanics and strategies. The online matchmaking suggests it will likely be a PvE with your opponent setting up their team and then letting the AI use them in combat against challenging teams. Since it could well be fought between competing AI’s, players are likely only required to figure out strategies and optimum team compositions.
As you can see above, the game will likely use elemental energy as costs for casting skills and abilities. The amount of elemental energy we get will be random due to the dice rolls. Players will likely have to adapt and overcome their opponent’s team which will also likely operate the same way.
At the end of the day, it all depends on executions and how smoothly it fits into the game. There’s also the question about rewards which we know nothing of yet. Leaks about this game mode are likely going to be more reliable after Version 3.1 drops and the Version 3.2 Beta starts so players will have to wait until then for conclusive information.
