To unlock this quest, you have to start and complete all of Garcia’s previous quests. You can start the quests in Wangshu Inn, Liyue, where you can find Effendi and start the Garcia’s Paean quest series. Next, set the daily commissions to Sumeru and pick out Garcia’s missions. You also need to repeatedly complete the commissions a few times before you can go to the next step. Below are all the commissions you need to complete and the number of times for each.
- Garcia’s Paean – Substitutes (complete 3 times)
- Garcia’s Paean – By Bearings (complete 1 time)
- Garcia’s Paean – Easy Peasy (complete 4 times)
- Garcia’s Paean – The Echo of Someone (complete 3 times and get the Principia Arithmetica Achievement )
Once you have completed the above commissions, wait for the daily reset and you will be notified that you have completed Garcia’s Paean – A Gift of Compatibility World Quest. But you are not done yet. You need to pick up the Garcia’s Paean daily commissions in Sumeru again and complete them twice. Wait for reset time again, then you will get a marker to meet Garcia and Lutong in Fontaine to start the Where His Life Lies quest
