You will meet Sucrose a third time during Cycles 20 – 22. This time she will ask you to craft an advanced potion to pass the exam. The main criteria to pass the exam is to create an Advanced or higher grade potion whose efficacies include Wisdom. You can also meet the below secondary objectives to get a higher rank
- Advanced potion grade and potion level reaches +8
- Potion displays “Fragrant” characteristic
- Uses at least 5 different types of ingredients
To pass the exam, you have to level up your Alchemy level and also increase the level of your ingredients and cauldron. Being alchemy level 12 and above will help you attain advanced level potions. You can level up your ingredients through the Ingredient Analysis or Concoction Phase. Using mid sized ingredients will help pass the exam, but you can also use small ingredients to fill in the gaps. There is a filter option you can use to weed out ingredients that you don’t require. The best potion to help you pass the Advanced exam is the Advanced Wisdom & Charisma potion. If you are lacking in any special ingredient, you can always use Special Mushrooms to bridge the gap.
To know if your potions are reaching the advanced stage, you can keep an eye on the top left corner of your screen. It will show you if you require more ingredients to reach the advanced stage. You also need to keep an eye on your Tuning Rate, as a 100% Tuning Rate will help pass the exam.
