The brand new season of Fortnite is finally available to us, and it looks very promising! Chapter 3: Season 4, named “Paradise”, brings a fascinating change to the battle royale game with a never-before-seen substance called chrome. This newly introduced element can transform anything it comes into contact with; For example, if you splash it on yourself, you become temporarily fireproof and can sprint much faster. This season continues the lighthearted vibes of Paradise, which debuted in June after a live mech fight event.
You can hire many NPCs in Fortnite to assist you during a match. They’re each equipped with their own gun and can be used to help you in a firefight or as a distraction. However, they often wander around and don’t always follow your orders. You can now give them specific commands to make better use of them.
Here’s how you can issue commands to NPCs you hire in Fortnite.
How to give Commands to NPCs?
In order to issue orders, you must first hire an NPC. You can find NPCs all over the island – just approach them and initiate a conversation. Some NPCs will offer to be hired for 100 gold bars. Once hired, the NPC will follow you and act as your ally. They will be represented by a blue arrow on your mini-map.
Once you have hired an NPC, follow the below steps to command them:
- If you’re using a mouse and keyboard, you can hold down the middle mouse button to access your NPC’s commands.
- If you’re using a controller, it’s the button to the left of your directional pad for commanding the NPCs.
- This will give you a limited list of four choices: telling the NPC to move, wait, follow you, or dismiss them.
- These commands can be useful for giving your NPC a little direction or as a distraction to lure in other players.
The NPC hiring system in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4, received a minor update in the form of a new feature that gives NPCs more depth and purpose. This article was about commanding the NPCs in the new season of Fortnite. The game has already been released, so that means the usual array of new battle pass rewards, weapons, map changes, exotic weapons, NPCs, and more are all waiting to be discovered.
If you’re not already playing the game, now is the time to start. Also, be sure to check our other guides for more information and updates on the game.
