You can try the below workarounds till an official fix has been found.

Try to set the game in fullscreen under the Display Options section.
You can also refresh the frame rate to 60hz under the same tab
Turn off the Toggle Button Holds option under the accessibility setting in-game, so you just have to tap the attack button instead of holding down the button as previously instructed
Pressing the standoff button too early can also cause your character to stop moving. Wait for the button prompt to appear and then press the respective button to attack
Disable the NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency option under the video settings in-game
If using controllers, try updating the controller driver and see if it helps
You can switch to a mouse if using PC during a standoff if your controller is having issues
Restart the game
Verify Steam Files
