How to Fix Crashing after Latest Update in Elden Ring
Players have been facing several issues since the release of the game Elden Ring, one of which was a bug that stopped the game from using your system’s GPU. This compelled Elden to run on weaker CPU integrated graphics, which was the cause of poor game performance. Some players might have found a manual workaround, but it wasn’t guaranteed to always work. Thankfully, there is now a permanent fix for this issue.

The devs from FromSoftware have released a patch to solve this issue called Elden Ring Patch 1.02.2 which resolves the problem at its core. Now, the game software will correctly identify your system’s GPU instead of the weaker CPU integrated graphics which will lead to smoother gameplay. This will be a significant improvement once you’ve downloaded and installed this patch.
Additionally, there are more issues that have been fixed with this patch including the game crashes during the battle with the boss called the Fire Giant. The entire PC gaming experience is expected to be a lot smoother now with more bugs being ironed out.
To get the latest patch for the game, open Steam and check for updates. The new Patch Update should show up. Click Download, and Install to apply it to your system.
