According to the quest guideline, you need to use your construction hammer and select the blueprints of the structure you want to build. This gives you a little intro on how to build houses in case you don’t know how to do it. Below are the steps you need to do to complete this quest
- Build a Summoning Staff using 1x Twig
- Also craft a Construction Hammer using 1x stone
- You would need several Stones or Wood to craft a Rough Stone Block or Rough Wood Block for the walls.
- Rough Stone Blocks: 2x Stone per 100 Blocks
- Rough Wood Block: 2x Wood per 100 Blocks
- Also gather Plant Fiber, Stone and Flintstone to craft Plant Fiber Roof Block or Stone Shingle Roof Block
- Stone Shingle Roof Block: 5x Stone and 5x Flintstone per 100 Roof Blocks
- Plant Fiber Roof Block: 5x Plant Fiber per 100 Roof Blocks
- You would need extra wood to craft a door
- Take all the materials to the Workbench to craft the necessary structures.
- If you don’t have a Workbench, gather 3x strings and 8x wood, then visit the Essentials tab of the Crafting menu
- Once you have the necessary structures, use the construction hammer and place them around your base close to the Flame Altar
- To do this, assign the construction hammer to your active action button
- Enter Building Mode by pressing Tab (PC) / Left Trigger or LT (Console)
- Select 4M category and enable the Snapping tool
- To craft a house, place four ground foundation blocks followed by walls
- Ensure that one wall has a door frame
- Switch to 4M Roofs and select the outer roof corner, second to left option
- Place the roof on the walls accordingly
- Finally, place the door on the door frame
- Use your Summoning Staff to summon the blacksmith and put him inside his shop to complete the quest
