Some NPCs will be locked until you level up your character and complete certain quests. By leveling up, you can unlock new areas to explore and pick up new quests. The first Alchemist you need to visit is located in Kyovashad, but to get here you need to complete all the quests leading up to it. One quest in particular titled the Rite of Passage will help you unlock the gates to Kyovashad and gain entry to the city. This quest is the main quest, so it is hard to miss it while progressing through the game.

Now, you have to level up to level 10 to get a Priority quest, where you have to visit the Alchemist. This will lead you to the area where the Alchemist resides. You can find them in the central area of the city, just keep an eye out for Veroka’s shop. Veroka is the city’s Alchemist, and you can talk to her to pick up her quest line.

Her first quest will be to upgrade your Weak Vial and turn it into a Tiny Healing Vial. Once you have completed that, you can unlock several Alchemists across all the cities you visit in the future. Visiting the alchemist has several uses, such as crafting elixirs, upgrading your healing vial, crafting Incense, and refining or transmuting resources.
