The Curator is the final boss encounter in the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon. This is a level 50 boss, so the first order of business is to level up before you can beat him. Next, you need to stock up on health potions and elixirs. The fight will be long, so you should prioritize bringing in enough healing items and upgrade the ones you have. The Elixir of Undead-Slaying will help you beat the skeletons that will spawn frequently around the boss. Also, this fight will be bearable with a team, so before entering the dungeon you should round up some allies to help you.

All Curator Moves and Attacks in Diablo 4

The Curator takes the help of skeletons who will snipe or melee attack you and quickly halve your health. The ones that you need to keep an eye out for are Skeleton Ballistas. These Ballistas can be found on opposite ends of the arena, so when they spawn you should destroy them first. The second thing to look out for is homing skeleton skulls that will explode when they get close to you. You can get out of range by quickly moving forward and backward or side to side to confuse them. Not all homing skeletons can be avoided this way, but at least you can save your health.

Besides these, the Curator has their skills and attacks that they will use as well.

  • Scythe Swipe: The Curator will take a swipe at you with its Scythe, causing damage and knockback. This can be avoided by running behind it, as the reach of this attack can knock you out even if you are far away. Keep an eye out for its raised scythe and run away.
  • Spectral Ground Slam 5: This attack will branch out 5 paths that will deal damage. It is quite predictable, so when you see the Curator winding up, try to get behind it and deal damage or stay between the paths to avoid taking damage.
  • Spectral Ground Slam 3: This attack is deadly and can deal a lot of damage. There will be three attacks in succession, and the damaging paths will form a W pattern on the floor. The Curator will teleport either clockwise or anti-clockwise around you and deal damage 3 times. It is best to stay within the gray area between the paths to avoid taking damage.
  • Bone Wall: The Curator will summon a bone wall that won’t cause much damage, but can trap you in or push you out from attacking the boss. At later stages, the wall will detonate and cause damage, so stay away from it.
  • Death Tornado: Several mini tornados will appear around the arena. While they don’t cause a lot of damage, they will reduce visibility and make you an easy target for the boss.

How to Beat the Curator in Diablo 4

You should first assign a team to help you, then give each of them a task. You should enlist one member to tackle the skeleton allies of the Curator, while the rest of the team tries to tackle the boss. At the start of the fight, the Curator will be winding up for an attack. You can use this opportunity to place several heavy-hitting attacks. Staggering moves that cause freeze, stun, and so on can also help you stagger the boss and put in some extra moves. You should also own defensive cooldown abilities like Deep Freeze or Blood Mist, and keep plenty of potions and elixirs in hand. If you are still having a hard time, it is best to level up and come back at a higher character level.
