Dehya is an important figure from the main Sumeru Archon Quest Chapter and we met her in Version 3.0 itself. Players knew she will be playable from the start and we already knew her element to be Pyro and her weapon to be claymore.
Throughout the Archon Quests, we also came to know that this Eremite mercenary bodyguard is a formidable fighter with her reputation calling her the ‘Flame Mane’. This article will discuss the few crumbs about her kit that have been leaked so players can decide if they like the general vibe of her playstyle.
Dehya’s Initial Kit Leaks
The first notable thing is the unique charged attack. A lot of leakers attribute plunging attacks to be a big part of her kit so perhaps she will have a Level 2 charged attack where she leaps into the air and does a plunge to deal increased damage.
Her elemental skill will have a “grave” and we still don’t know where this symbolism comes from. Her grave will have an AoE and when attacking enemies within its range, it will deal coordinated Pyro attacks. The grave also buffs DEF while the party is in range so perhaps Dehya will scale off of DEF- either partially or completely because otherwise this buff wouldn’t make sense.
The grave can also be picked up to deal AoE Pyro damage with an effect similar to Stagger. The E skill also has a reliably long 15s duration so this could hint at her role of being a Pyro sub-dps.
Her elemental burst seems to completely change her playstyle into a character capable of phasing or teleportation. This is similar to characters like Hu Tao, Rosaria and Kaeya who also have some form of phasing in their kits. This is the first time we’ll see this mechanic on a claymore character if the leaks are proven right.
Dehya was expected to be the Burning or Burgeon DPS and according to these leaks her playstyle suits the Burgeon reaction. But it’s still too early to tell.
As we said earlier, her gameplay seems to revolve around plunge attacks, dashes and jumps so she could be a Pyro claymore Xiao. Players who are familiar with the Dragon Strike technique will also find her fun. Her burst is still relatively unfinished according to leakers so we should get more clarification as we get closer to the release of Version 3.5 when she’s expected to be released.
