Cult of the Lamb’s latest DLC brings a bunch of new features to the game. You can now unlock new followers to add to your growing cult. Before you begin, you need to complete Sozo’s entire questline as part of the initiation of getting him as a follower. If you are unsure on where Sozo is located, just make your way to Spore Grotto. You can unlock this area after your encounter with the mushrooms in the Anura biome. Sozo is a gray ant creature with fungal spores all over him. Talk to him to start his quest, which basically involves finding and feeding him Menticide Mushrooms. After every 10 Menticide Mushrooms, you will receive rewards from him like Holy Talisman Shard, Brainwashing Ritual, and blueprints for the Mushroom Sculpture. After completing his questline, if you go back to him, you will find him dead.
Pick up the giant mushroom sprouting from his head and take it to your farm. Plant the mushroom and wait. You will soon find the Mysterious Mushroom in your farm. Pick it up to revive Sozo, who will then ask for 5 Menticide Mushrooms. Give those to him to add him as your follower
