You will need a Castle to stay, replenish, and store your goods, but to build one requires Blood Essence. Many elements can be added to your Castle if you have the required amount of Blood Essence. Blood Essence acts as a core to your Castle Heart. Without it, you won’t be able to upgrade your equipment and power up your Castle. There are three types of Blood Essence to find in the game, namely you got the Blood Essence, Greater Blood Essence, and Primal Blood Essence
You can farm blood essence by killing enemies. The higher the enemy level, the better your blood essence tier becomes. If you are killing enemies below level 20, you can get blood essence, but above that level and your chances of getting Greater Blood Essence is higher. As for Primal Blood Essence, it can be crafted at the Blood Press after unlocking the recipe from Jade the Vampire Hunter
