The Ibis Piercer is a new 4-star F2P weapon available for free from the new Version 3.7 Duel! The Summoner’s Summit event. Once you collect enough event currency, you can unlock this weapon and buy its refinements from the shop. The weapon seems highly synergistic with Charged Shot Bow users who rely on elemental reactions for their damage. In this article, we will list which characters can best make use of this bow.
Best Fits for Ibis Piercer in Genshin Impact 3.7
Before we go into the best candidates for this bow, we must establish that its passive ability only taking effect after a Charged Shot is not as rigid as you might think. You can use any Normal Attack bow users and simply aim and charge a little bit before shooting and you will still get the weapon’s effect. Your Charged Shot need not even apply the element to the enemy and it can simply deal Physical DMG and the passive will still take effect. So if you want to use it on units like Yoimiya or Fischl- you can.
That said, the best users of this weapon are those who heavily rely on their Charged Shots for DPS and those who usually have a smaller CD and a second stage to their Charged Shots. It should be obvious by now which two characters fit the bill but there’s one more which you might be surprised to see.
- Ganyu: Ganyu has two levels of Charged Shot and when her E skill is deployed, her Stage 2 Charged Shot CD decreases to the point she doesn’t have to Charge her bow long enough to demolish opponents from a distance with her nuke shots. This bow would be very good for a Melt Ganyu as that’s the only Ganyu build that’s doing damage via elemental reaction. Though it wouldn’t be her BiS (best-in-slot), it would still be a reliable stand-in if you have no other option.
- Tighnari: The weapon seems tailor-made for Tighnari since he’s a Dendro Spread DPS who uses a Bow. He also has 2 levels to his Charged Shot and when his E skill is deployed, he can fire off his Stage 2 Charged Shots almost instantaneously. Since Tighnari also partially scales on EM, with every Charged Shot landed, he will be stronger. You can get two stacks of its passive within 1 second since the effect can be triggered every 0.5 seconds.
- Childe: As surprising as it sounds, Childe’s melee form actually triggers the passive of this weapon just like any other Charged Shot user. If you do a Charged Attack in his melee form, Childe will also trigger this weapon’s passive. You can now make some pretty interesting Vaporize teams with this build.
At Refinement 5, this weapon can give you a total of up to 160 EM which may not sound like much in the current Dendro meta, but it is a significant lot for reaction-based team comps. If there are other units you want to use this on, make sure you have a strong shielder to safely charge your Charged Shot twice to get the passive EM bonus.
