Yoimiya is a 5-star Pyro bow user and one of the best single-target DPS in the game. She’s getting her own rerun banner in the second half of Version 2.8 so many players are excited to pull for her. Because of her easy gameplay and ranged DPS abilities, she’s the preferred DPS for many casual players who like to play it safe.
Genshin Impact is all about elemental reactions and as such one can’t just solo-run Yoimiya and expect to clear game content. This article will discuss her best teammates and how they maximize her potential.
Yoimiya’s Best Teammates in Genshin Impact
As a 5-star Pyro bow user, Yoimiya has access to some of the best damage-dealing reactions in the game from a distance. She can trigger Vaporise and Overloaded at considerable ease. Triggering Melt is difficult since there aren’t any ranged Cryo units that sync well with Yoimiya’s kit. As a ranged DPS you’ll also want to get a shielder on your team to protect her from random attacks and increase her survivability.
The following teammates best fulfill the above roles. They are categorized as per their roles.
Vape Teams
Vaporise is one of the strongest reactions in the game and it scales off of Attack, Crit bonuses, and Elemental Mastery. Vaporise is caused when Pyro meets Hydro.
Xinqiu
Pre-Yelan release, Xinqiu was the go-to teammate for Yoimiya to cause Vape reactions. Xinqiu also provided a bit of damage reduction with his rain shield and a bit of healing when his rain shields disappeared.
Yelan
Yelan does not provide any healing or damage reduction but she does maximize her Hydro damage thus allowing for stronger Vapes. As of now, she is one of the most contended Yoimiya teammates.
Damage Buff
Damage buffers, as their name suggests buff the damage of their teammates. Since Yoimiya’s own damage leaves much to be desired, she desperately needs a damage buffer in her team.
Bennett
Bennett is the golden child of Genshin Impact due to his broken burst which makes you not only almost unkillable but also buffs your overall damage immensely. He also automatically gives the 25% Atk bonus from the Pyro resonance so he’s indispensable for Yoimiya.
Yun Jin
Yun Jin, with her own kit and sometimes her constellations provides considerable normal attack damage buffs to her teammates along with some overall damage increase. She also gives you a shield which Bennett does not. With Geo resonance, her buffs are even stronger.
Overloaded Teams
Yoimiya benefits from Overloaded reactions since the knockback from the reaction doesn’t affect her gameplay. As a ranged Pyro character, Overloaded not only does good damage but also keeps enemies away from her.
Beidou
Beidou at C1 gives a shield when her burst is activated and at C2 her electro hit from her burst jumps to additional enemies- making her perfect for Yoimiya.
Fischl
Fischl is not only a strong electro applicator but also a great battery for your whole team.
Shielders
Yoimiya needs shielders in her team to prevent interruption to her attack chain and from getting one shot by strong enemies.
Zhongli
Zhongli’s kit has the best, tankiest shield in the game with 100% up-time and additional resistance shred.
Diona
Diona’s shield is one of the best 4-star shields in the game with a short cooldown. She also provides a ton of healing and her Cryo element makes her viable for some Melt reactions from Yoimiya.
Thoma
Thoma’s shield is constantly refreshing and scales off of HP%. This makes him easy to build and his Pyro nature also gives the Pyro resonance buff to the whole team.
You can of course mix and match the above teammates to get a team that suits your playstyle. A shielder, we believe, is a must however so be sure to bring any shielder you already have built and it should be fine. Vape teams are the strongest and Overloaded teams help with crowd control to an extent. You can also have a combined OverVape team to have the best of both teams.
