Best Pokémon to Use During the 7-Star Cinderace Tera Raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

You would notice some of the Pokémon mentioned below would already be the ones you had used during the Charizard Tera Raid event, but there are some new Pokémon added as well that can help you. Cinderace is a Fire-type Pokémon having the Fighting Tera Type, so you need Pokémon that can help counter its moves. Psychic-type and Fairy-type Pokémon will help you out here and probably Ghost-type as well. These are some of the best Pokémon you can use to battle Cinderace.

Armarouge/Ceruledge

Armarouge is a Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon, while Ceruledge is a Fire and Ghost-type Pokemon. Both these Pokemon are effective in taking down Cinderace. You can use Armarouge’s Psychic Terrain move with Expanding Force to put in a powerful blow, while for Ceruledge you can use Sword Dance and Bulk Up to increase its attack stats.

Azumarill

If you had trained Azumarill during the Charizard Tera Raid event, then this Pokémon will need no introduction. Azumarill is a Water and Fairy type, so this Pokémon is highly effective in taking down Cinderace’s Fire and Fighting-type moves. Azumarill’s Huge Power ability with Play Rough can effectively double its attacks. If you plan on taking down Cinderace solo, you can’t go wrong with Azumarill.

Skeledirge

Skeledirge is effective in taking down Cinderace with its Fire and Ghost-type moves, but it can be vulnerable if Cinderace does use any Dark-type move. You will have to form the right team with Skeledirge by using a fairy-type Pokémon to counter Cinderace. But Skeledirge’s fire-type moves can deal some damage to Cinderace, so it is worth having this Pokémon in your party.

Slowbro

A water and psychic type Pokemon, Slowbro is the optimal choice while taking down Cinderace. You can use Slowbro’s buffed defense to carry your party or increase its attacks by using Nasty Plot. Having Psychic Terrain can also double Slowbro’s psychic moves and help deal damage. Or if you want to use Slowbro as a defense Pokémon, you can do that as well.

Dachsbun

Dachsbun is a pure fairy-type Pokémon and can resist fighting and dark-type moves from Cinderace. You will have to watch out for Cinderace’s Poison and Steel attacks, as Dachsbun is quite weak to those. Dachsbun’s Well Baked Body ability makes it resistant to Fire-type moves or will have its defense increased if it does get hit by a Fire-type. Dachsbun can be an as great support to your team if you have other stronger offensive Pokémon.
