To locate Scratch the dog, head to the bridge between Owlbear Cave and the Grove. You can find it between Blighted Village and Druid Grove. Scratch can be found roaming the outskirts of the village, guarding his deceased owner’s body. You can walk up and interact with him to learn more about his owner. Let him know he can follow your scent if his owner never wakes up. Two days later, you can find Scratch at your campsite. Interact with him further to unlock the pet option. You can pet him as many times as you wish, and you can always see him in the same spot whenever you return.

Scratch isn’t your companion, so he will not follow you around or fight in battle. But he can help you find hidden treasures from time to time, so if you spot him, interact with him frequently.
