During early gameplay, you will find tons of ingots while rummaging through chests and looting corpses. They will slowly start getting stacked in your inventory and weighing down your character. If you have an abundance of ingots, the only thing you can do is sell them. There are three types of ingots; bronze, silver, and gold. Each of them will sell for different prices, with gold ingots selling for a higher price. During early games, you can sell them to vendors and get some quick cash. Later on, ingots have another purpose. They can be used as throwable items, which is handy while solving certain puzzles and disarming traps. It is best not to keep a stick of ingots in your inventory because of the weight. When you find your backpack getting heavy, get rid of any ingots you own for money. Bronze ingots sell for 25 coins, while silver ingots can be sold for 50 coins. Gold ingots can give you 100 coins.

As mentioned above, you can find ingots in chests and dead bodies. They are very common items to get, so you won’t have a hard time trying to find them.
